Around the house and the camp.
A washing line that holds the hangers, a tarp line that pulls tight, a tool sling, a tether for the mower, a rope to keep the gate open. The thin RunLock sizes are the everyday rope: light, soft, and locked in a second.
Lines for the tent, the washing and the woodpile
At the camp the No 4 is the line between the trees: hang the washing, the lantern and the food bag, or guy out the tarp with a running loop that pulls tight and releases in the morning. It weighs less than 100 g for 7 m and lives in a pocket.
At home the same line hangs the laundry with the hangers held in place and the clothes kept apart, so they dry faster. The No 8 holds the gate, the ladder and the bike, and a short piece with two fixed loops is a sling for the axe or the saw. When the robot mower dies at the far end of the lawn, the tow rope walks it home.
None of it needs a knot, and all of it goes in the washing machine.
